What the science shows

A promising root. Real limits.

Four exciting ways turmeric and curcumin support your dog's health, plus the honest limits of each.

Less cancer cell movement1

Curcumin, a homeopathic turmeric, and the drug mitoxantrone each cut canine bladder cancer cell movement by about 74–76% after 24 hours.

turmeric rosemary

Turmeric + rosemary2

Together, these extracts led to about 40% cell death in canine mammary cancer cells, and rosemary boosted curcumin uptake 4.8-fold.

Bone cancer cells3

Researchers observed signs of apoptosis, a natural process that helps the body clear damaged cells, in canine osteosarcoma cells exposed to turmeric compounds.

Joint comfort4, 5

A curcumin, collagen and green tea diet improved some pain and mobility measures in 3 months, and turmeric-root extract eased arthritis signs.
